Job summary

• Performs varied custodial tasks for upkeep of buildings and cleans bathrooms, offices, hallways and other areas using sweeping, mopping, dusting and general housekeeping.
• Empties trash receptacles and prepares cleaning solutions as needed.
• Sweeps sidewalks and other exterior surfaces to maintain building appearance.
• Operates cleaning equipment including buffing machines and vacuums as required.

Job Duties and Other Information

• Performs many varied custodial tasks necessary for the upkeep of buildings and performs custodial related duties necessary to maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions in assigned work areas or buildings. Cleans bathrooms, offices, hallways and any other assigned areas by sweeping, mopping, dusting, straightening and performing general housekeeping tasks. Empties trash receptacles. Mixes or blends cleaning solutions to proper concentrations as necessary for various
• Sweeps sidewalks, porches and other horizontal external surfaces daily or as needed to enhance the buildings appearance.
• Strips and polishes floors using buffing machines. Cleans and waxes floors using industrial-sized mops and/or machines that or polish hard surfaces.
• Operates wet and dry vacuums for cleaning and shampooing carpeted areas.
