POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position provides basic custodial services at assigned buildings. Duties include, but are not limited to, a variety of tasks involving labor in the general care of buildings and grounds, including cleaning, minor repairs and maintenance of buildings. Primary responsibility is to use proper methods and materials in cleaning and otherwise caring for the buildings and equipment to which assigned.

ENVIRONMENTAL ELEMENTS:
Normal school building environments. The employee may be exposed to bodily fluids, bloodborne
pathogens, sick and/or contagious students and staff. The employee will be exposed to toxic
chemicals, fumes and airborne particles. All duties to be performed within health, safety standards
as established by local and state OSHA and school district emergency procedures.
The employee regularly will work indoors and occasionally outdoors, including during hot, cold, dry, or wet weather conditions. The employees will work near or with moving mechanical equipment and work in high and or tight workplaces. The employee will work with toxic or caustic chemicals such as
petroleum products, degreasers, disinfectants, and sprays. The employee must be able to meet
deadlines with severe time constraints. The noise level in the work environment is usually
moderate. Employees may be required to be available for duties on weekends and evenings assigned.
