Job summary

MAHONING COUNTY BOARD OF DD seeks a Custodian for the Maintenance department to handle housekeeping, building and grounds upkeep, and basic electrical/plumbing/carpentry tasks. The position supports safe, clean facilities for staff and clients.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. A High School Diploma or GED and custodial knowledge are required, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs and interact with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of custodial practices.
• Able to operate cleaning equipment.
• Familiar with hand and power tools.
• Able to work on ladders up to 10 feet.
• Must maintain a valid driver\'s license.

POSITION: Custodian

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of custodial practices.
• Skill in operating cleaning and other equipment, and their procedures
• Familiarity with and ability to utilize hand and power tools.
• Familiarity with the proper use of chemicals.
• Ability to work on ladders or elevated platforms not to exceed 10' in height.
• Ability to engage others with understanding and empathy.
• Must be flexible with a positive attitude.
• Routinely able to lift 50 lbs.

DUTIES (include but not limited to the following)
