Job summary

Mahoning County Board of DD is seeking a dependable Custodian for general housekeeping, grounds maintenance and building upkeep at the ESC of Eastern Ohio MCBDD – Youngstown, Ohio.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of custodial practices, ability to operate cleaning equipment, basic maintenance tasks, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of custodial practices.
• Skill in operating cleaning and other equipment, and their procedures
• Familiarity with and ability to utilize hand and power tools.
• Familiarity with the proper use of chemicals.
• Ability to work on ladders or elevated platforms not to exceed 10' in height.
• Ability to engage others with understanding and empathy.
• Must be flexible with a positive attitude.
• Routinely able to lift 50 lbs.

• Electrical, plumbing and carpentry maintenance
• Report need for equipment or physical plant repairs.
• Check stock, supplies and keep record as needed.
