Job summary

Mahoning County Board of DD is seeking a full-time Maintenance position to perform housekeeping, grounds maintenance and general facility upkeep. The role supports electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks and requires lifting up to 50 lbs and the ability to work on ladders. Monday–Friday, 3:00 p.m.

to 11:00 p.m., with salary per schedule. Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or GED and knowledge of custodial practices. A valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of custodial practices.
• Skill in operating cleaning equipment and their procedures.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Familiarity with the proper use of chemicals.
• Ability to work on ladders or elevated platforms not to exceed 10’ in height.
• Ability to engage others with understanding and empathy.
• Must be flexible with a positive attitude.
• Routinely able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping, custodial care and cleaning of building.
• Maintenance of grounds.
• General maintenance of building.
• Electrical, plumbing and carpentry maintenance.
• Report need for equipment or physical plant repairs.
• Check stock, supplies and keep record as needed.
• Perform other duties as described in the position description.
