Pay Range

This range is provided by City of Auburn (Washington). Your actual pay will depend on your skills and experience. Discuss with your recruiter for more details.

Salary Details

Base pay range:
$52,305.84/yr - $63,937.20/yr

Initial hire at Step 1 of a 6-step scale, which is $4,358.82/month (~$25.15/hour). The salary scale shown includes the maximum longevity pay after 20 years of service.

Position Overview

This routine custodial position involves cleaning, minor repairs, and maintenance of City facilities. The work schedule is: Wednesday – Sunday, 4:30 pm - 1:00 am.

Primary Duties

• Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks independently according to established standards.
• Interact courteously with the public, coworkers, and other City employees, including in challenging situations.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, restock supplies, vacuum carpets, and shampoo carpets as scheduled.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of professional custodial experience
• Valid driver’s license without impending loss

Additional Requirements

• Ability to pass background and reference checks
• Must complete CJIS Security Certification and fingerprinting for access at the Police Department
