Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly custodial services, including vacuuming carpets, wet mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, sweeping entrances, and maintaining lobbies, offices, hallways, break rooms, and other facility spaces.
• Disinfect restrooms, trash receptacles, high-touch surfaces, walls, windows, and other areas as needed or per schedules.
• Collect, remove, and properly dispose of facility waste and recycling; replace liners.
• Monitor and replenish restroom and facility consumables (paper towels, toilet tissue, soap).
• Identify maintenance concerns and safety hazards and report them.

Spectrum Management, LLC has been serving the Washington, DC metropolitan area for over 25 years and provides a comprehensive array of services that include construction management, facilities management and real estate development services.

Spectrum is currently seeking a Custodian who will have the primary responsibility of cleaning one of our high profile client site locations in Washington, D.C.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Required Shift: Monday – Friday, 10:00 am – 6:30 pm.
• Perform scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly custodial services, including vacuuming carpets, wet mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, sweeping entrances, and maintaining lobbies, offices, hallways, break rooms, and other facility spaces.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and professional environment by disinfecting restrooms, trash receptacles, high-touch surfaces, walls, windows, and other areas as needed or according to established cleaning schedules.
• Collect, remove, and properly dispose of facility waste and recycling, including cleaning and sanitizing trash containers and replacing liners to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
• Monitor and replenish all restroom and facility consumable supplies, including paper towels, toilet tissue, hand soap, and other janitorial necessities to maintain uninterrupted operations.
• Support overall facility safety and appearance by identifying and reporting maintenance concerns, equipment or supply needs, pest activity, leaks, and other health or safety hazards, while participating in environmental and workplace safety initiatives as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• 3 years experience in the custodial field.
• Applicable knowledge of proper cleaning methods.
• MS Office Suite (Outlook/email) basic experience required.
• Floor Maintenance experience including buffering, stripping and waxing with proper equipment maintenance a plus.
• Must be able to comply with all required site background checks, including fingerprints.
