The Arc Ontario in Canandaigua, NY is seeking a Direct Support Professional - Residential to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living. You will support personal care, household tasks, and plan community outings and recreational activities, contributing to a safe, supportive home environment where individuals can grow and thrive.

This full-time role offers meaningful work with evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• HS Diploma or GED preferred and one year of relevant experience or an equivalent amount of education/and or experience preferred.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• If driving is required, reliable means of transportation, NYS driver's license and safe driving record for 1 full year prior to hire date

Salary: $18.91 - $20.14 (per diem/substitute $17.91)

Schedule: Hiring for Evenings; Night Shift; Weekends!

Differential: $1.00 pay differential for night shift; $1.00 pay differential weekend shifts!

• Provides hands-on assistance, instruction, and training to individuals which will enable them to develop and/or acquire skills in various aspects of daily living which may include communication, social, recreational, and leisure activities, self or personal care, household management, travel, work-related or vocational opportunities, money management, etc. in accordance with an individualized plan of service, and following all safety considerations.
