GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

This position offers a unique opportunity to showcase your cleaning skills and work hands-on with our manufactured products. As a Custodian, you'll be responsible for maintaining our facilities in safe and operational condition by performing light daily cleaning tasks and infrequent heavy cleaning duties. Additionally, you'll support our Operations department in a Production Support role, which may include operating injection molding machines, finishing, or assembling parts. Your time will be evenly split between custodial duties and production support, including supporting our Solon facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate injection molding equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform finishing tasks using basic hand tools as assigned.
• Visually inspect, count, and package parts to ensure accuracy.
• Follow traveler and blueprint instructions.
• Adhere to cleaning and maintenance schedules, including cleaning floors, emptying trash, and servicing restrooms.
• Clean and polish fixtures, windows, and mirrors.
• Dust furniture, walls, machinery, and equipment.
• Remove debris from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas using appropriate equipment and chemicals.
• Follow proper procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to ensure safety.
• Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance.
• Assist in setting up, arranging, and removing furniture for events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred; training provided.
• Basic computer skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience reading blueprints is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and personnel.
• Organized, with good daily action planning and time management.
• Attention to detail.
• Initiative and solution-focused mindset.

Other Requirements

• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between Streetsboro and Solon facilities.
• Ability to move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies manually or with hand trucks.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, bend, kneel, and perform pushing/pulling tasks, with fine motor skills.
