Job summary

7 Cedars Casino in Sequim, WA is seeking a Full-Time Custodian for the day shift to keep the resort clean, comfortable, and welcoming for guests and staff. You will perform routine cleaning, sanitation of the casino building, and operate cleaning equipment as directed.

The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and good interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members; native American hiring preference applies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment as instructed.
• Strong communication and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect public bathrooms and break areas, toilets, mirrors, sweep and mop floors, check dispensers, and empty trash for all departments.
• Dust surfaces including light fixtures and slot machines, and sweep/mop/wax floors.
• Remove finger marks from doors, frames, light switches, and glass entrances.
• Dust public areas, furniture, windows, and exterior surfaces around the building.
• Shampoo carpets in public areas and restock cleaning supplies.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned and follow safety rules.
• Adhere to all department policies and procedures.

Looking for a job where your work makes a difference every day? 7 Cedars is looking for a Full-Time Custodian to join our day shift! You’ll help keep our resort clean, comfortable, and welcoming for our guests and employees. Under the direct supervision of the Lead Custodian, performs manual custodial services in the cleaning and sanitation of the Casino building and facilities.

Native American hiring preference for qualified candidates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Clean and disinfect public bathrooms and employee break areas, cleans and disinfects sinks, toilets, cleans mirrors, sweep and mop floors, check all dispensers (soap, paper towel, and toilet paper), empties trash cans for all departments


• Dust all surfaces including light fixtures and overhead paneling; Dust slot machines and stands


• Sweep, mop, clean and wax floors, clean carpets, ash trays, walls and surface areas


• Remove all finger marks and smudges from vertical surfaces, to include doors, door frames, around light switches, private entrance glass, and partitions


• Dust all surfaces in public areas including exteriors of slot machines, furniture, lights, floors, windows and doors, public telephones, plants and surfaces on the outside of the building


• Shampoo carpets in public areas; restock cleaning supplies


• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned


• Must follow all safety rules and regulations


• Follow all general and department policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required


• Ability to operate variety of industrial-size machines (vacuum cleaner, carpet shampooer and carpet extractor)


• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions


• Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and/or team members


• Strong organization, prioritization and multiple-tasking skills


• Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality


• Highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive manner


• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing
