Job summary

Circular Services is seeking a reliable Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout a bustling manufacturing and recycling facility in San Antonio, Texas. This full-time role emphasizes a proactive approach to safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior janitorial or industrial cleaning experience, and familiarity with PPE. The position offers competitive health benefits and a structured work shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
• Familiarity with required PPE, including hard hat, reflective vest, steel-toe boots, ear and eye protection, and utility gloves.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or recycling environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors in production areas, break rooms, locker rooms, restrooms, and office spaces.
• Collect and properly dispose of recycling materials, production waste, and general trash in accordance with facility protocols.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, and break rooms; replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Conduct general warehouse and equipment cleanup at the end of each shift.
• Ensure the safe and proper use of cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify supervisors when restocking is needed.
• Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and completing minor repairs.
• Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, or safety issues promptly to appropriate personnel.
• Assist in preparing the facility for inspections or audits by maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Support facility shutdowns or deep-cleaning operations as required.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support overall facility operations.
