Job summary

Aeriz is seeking a Custodian for our cultivation facility in Riverbank, CA. The role maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and order across production areas, restrooms, break rooms, and offices, reporting to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager and working on-site.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, restrooms, and high-touch surfaces; stocking supplies; following GMP, OSHA, and PPE policies; and supporting safety and deep-clean projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in custodial or janitorial work in industrial or manufacturing settings is a plus.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and follow safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize floors, walls, windows, equipment, and surfaces in production and non-production areas.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors and operate floor cleaning equipment as needed.
• Empty trash and recycling, and transport waste to disposal areas.
• Restock restrooms and break rooms with soap, towels, and toilet paper.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to supervisors promptly.
• Maintain cleaning supply inventory and request restocks.
• Follow procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous or chemical waste.
• Adhere to PPE policies and safety protocols; support deep-cleaning and special projects.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, OSHA, and company standards.
• Assist with Lunch Coverage for security team.

Custodian

Compensation: $19.00 / hour

Description

Summary

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and orderliness throughout the manufacturing facility. This includes production areas, restrooms, break rooms, offices, and other designated areas. The custodian ensures a clean and safe environment for employees by following facility protocols and safety standards. This role will be to report directly to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager and work on-site at our cultivation facility in Riverbank, Ca.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize floors, walls, windows, equipment, and surfaces in production and non-production areas.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors; operate floor cleaning equipment when necessary.
• Empty trash and recycling bins regularly; transport waste to designated disposal areas.
• Clean and restock restrooms and break rooms, including supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Perform routine cleaning of high-touch surfaces to maintain hygiene standards.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues (e.g., spills, leaks, damaged equipment) to supervisors promptly.
• Maintain cleaning supply inventory; request supplies when stock is low.
• Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous or chemical waste.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Support periodic deep-cleaning and special project assignments as needed.
• Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), OSHA regulations, and company standards.
• Assist on Lunch Coverage for security team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience, especially in an industrial or manufacturing setting, is a plus.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
• Physically capable of performing duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• This position occasionally requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects.
• Must be 21 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• Must adhere to all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.
• Exposure to industrial equipment, noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature variations.
• May require working around moving machinery or in restricted areas.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach, bend, climb, stretch and lift 30 pounds. Requires the manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment and hand tools.

Work Environment:

This position involves a fair amount of manual labor which requires repetitive tasks. This position operates indoors, which can reach different temperatures. This position may require working at heights up to or exceeding 10 feet. The Cultivation Department operates on weekends and holidays, and standard work hours may apply regardless of day or season.
