Peterson Cat in North Bend, OR is seeking a Part-Time Custodian to keep our facilities clean and safe. The role supports daily cleaning tasks, trash removal, window and wall cleaning, and restroom upkeep, with shift Monday-Friday 2:00pm to 6:00pm.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED and at least one year of custodian experience; a lift truck certification is required or obtainable. This position may also assist with light clerical duties in the Facilities department.

• Minimum 1 year custodial experience, preferably in heavy industrial environments.
• Lift truck certification must be obtainable or possessed.

Job Description

Peterson Cat has the immediate need for a Part-Time Custodian at our North Bend location. Shift- Monday-Friday 2:00pm to 6:00 pm.

The Custodian is responsible for day-to-day cleaning and upkeep of one or more Peterson facilities. Depending on assignment and location, this role may occasionally assist with clerical duties for the Facilities department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Sweep, mop, and scrub all floors.
• Empty trash, garbage, and recycling containers daily.
• Clean and wash walls, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Clean all restroom fixtures and refill dispensers.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and furniture.
• Complete assigned online training by the established due date(s).
• Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

Depending on assignment and location, this role may assist up to 30% of the time with clerical duties including but not limited to reviewing maintenance work orders, document scanning and filing, email communications, and updating expense spreadsheets.

• Basic computer skills are required, including ability to:
  • Navigate basic computer systems and programs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a custodian, preferably in a heavy industrial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENCENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Must have ability to obtain a lift truck certification.
