Job summary

Peterson Machinery Co. in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a dedicated Custodian to support daily cleaning and facility maintenance.

This role works Monday–Friday, 3:30 pm to Midnight, performing floor care, restroom cleaning, trash removal, wall and window cleaning, and basic clerical support as needed.

A GED or HS diploma and at least 1 year of custodian experience are required. A drug screen and background check are part of our hiring process.

• Complete assigned online training by the established due date(s).
• Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

Job Description ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

This Position will be Monday-Friday 3:30pm - Midnight

Job functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and furniture.
• Complete assigned online training by the established due date(s).
• Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
• Depending on assignment and location, this role may assist up to 30% of the time with clerical duties including but not limited to reviewing maintenance work orders, document scanning and filing, email communications, and updating expense spreadsheets.

This position serves in the capacity of the Custodian. General discretion and judgment are exercised routinely in the execution of job duties. If errors in judgment or professional execution of responsibilities are made, the department may be negatively impacted.

INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS

Internal contacts consist of levels of positions in the company from business unit leaders to entry level positions. External contacts consist of visitors and vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a custodian, preferably in a heavy industrial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
