Job summary

Hawaiian Building Maintenance in Honolulu, HI is seeking a part-time janitor to support building and community properties. You will clean common areas, restrooms, and exterior spaces, operate basic equipment, and restock supplies. Strong English communication and physical ability are essential.

Shifts are evenings and weekends: Wed-Fri 5:00pm-8:00pm, Sat-Sun 6:00am-2:30pm plus 5:00pm-8:00pm. Hourly pay is $16.75.

Qualifications

• HBM prescreen required.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Previous janitorial or related experience preferred; training available.

Responsibilities

• Clean common areas within the building.
• Clean restrooms, parking lot, walk paths; restock supplies.
• Use pressure wash and blower equipment as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively and understand English with team and property managers
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas within the building
• Clean restrooms, parking lot, walk path, and restock supplies
• Remove and dispose trash to designated areas
• Use of a pressure wash machine
• Use of a leaf blower/handheld blower
• Push trash bins as needed
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Utilize a smartphone to upload information online,communicate by email, respond to phone calls and text messages
• Follow safety procedures
• Report safety issues or building problems (i.e. burnt light bulbs, etc.)
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 5:00pm - 8:00pm,Saturday and Sunday: 6am - 2:30 pm andreturn to complete shift 5:00 pm - 8:00pm

Hourly Pay Rate: $16.75

Skills/Qualifications:

• Must pass HBM prescreen check
• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Previous janitorial, custodian experience or related experience is preferred, and willing to train
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Must have good public relations skills and communication
• Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, press, push, pull, frequently lift 40lbs, carry a minimum of 25lbs (up to 50lbs), be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, walk, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk up and down the stairs and use a ladder climb up and down and stand throughout their shifts.
