Job summary

Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) is seeking a Lead Night Porter - Custodian in Kakaako (Honolulu, HI 96813). This part-time role runs Monday to Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM (17.5 hours weekly) with an hourly pay rate of $17.50.

You will lead a four-person team, ensure secure doors, manage restocking and cleaning tasks, and report to the supervisor and property manager. Previous supervisory experience or related experience is required, and a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate efficiently with the HBM supervisor and property manager.
• Possess the ability to utilize a smartphone for communication and report generation.
• Lead a team of four in cleaning designated areas of the building.
• Clean and maintain the location space, which involves restocking supplies, sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas.
• Ensure that doors are secured properly.
• Oversee that the property is cleaned according to assigned tasks.
• Monitor and maintain a fast and efficient workflow.
• Clean restrooms, tenant spaces, elevators, and stairwells.
• Remove trash and replace liners, disposing of waste in designated areas.
• Ensure that employee time cards are reviewed and submitted to payroll promptly.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates should be capable of standing, walking, bending, reaching (including overhead), grasping objects, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stooping, stretching, pressing, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting a minimum of 30 lbs. and more.
• Perform other tasks as directed by the HBM supervisor.
• Must pass HBM prescreen check.
