Job summary

Hawaiian Building Maintenance is seeking reliable janitorial staff to support Hawai'i's buildings and communities. The team provides janitorial, maintenance, HVAC and restoration services across multiple islands and offers a competitive wage and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must pass HBM prescreen check.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Previous janitorial, custodian experience or related experience is preferred, and willing to train.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Must have good public relations skills and communication.
• Applicants must perform basic manual labor, lift 40lbs, carry 25–50lbs, reach overhead, bend, kneel, walk, climb stairs, and use a ladder.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively and understand English with team and property managers.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas within the building.
• Clean restrooms, parking lot, walk path, and restock supplies.
• Remove and dispose trash to designated areas.
• Use of a pressure wash machine.
• Use of a leaf blower/handheld blower.
• Push trash bins as needed.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Upload information online and communicate by email/phone/text.
• Follow safety procedures.
• Report safety issues or building problems.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 5:00pm - 8:00pm,Saturday and Sunday: 6am - 2:30 pm andreturn to complete shift 5:00 pm - 8:00pm

Hourly Pay Rate: $16.75

Skills/Qualifications:

• Must pass HBM prescreen check
• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Previous janitorial, custodian experience or related experience is preferred, and willing to train
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Must have good public relations skills and communication
• Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, press, push, pull, frequently lift 40lbs, carry a minimum of 25lbs (up to 50lbs), be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, walk, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk up and down the stairs and use a ladder climb up and down and stand throughout their shifts.
