Job summary

Mr. Greens is seeking a dependable Custodian to uphold cleanliness across our Jacksonville facility. You will clean offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and warehouse areas, using floor scrubbers and approved cleaners. The role requires lifting heavy loads, operating cleaning equipment, and complying with sanitation standards.

Candidates should be comfortable with working in temperatures from 33F to 80F and able to walk and stand for extended periods. We offer medical, vision, dental benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning and sanitizing large facilities.
• Familiarity with floor machines and chemical cleaning agents.
• Ability to lift 100+ lbs and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Clean buildings by sweeping, mopping, and restrooms throughout facility.
• Operate floor scrubber and other cleaning equipment as needed.
• Remove debris, empty trash, and disinfect surfaces with approved cleaners.
• Maintain cleanliness in warehouse areas, breakrooms, and lobby.

Job description

We Are Seeking a CustodianOverview:Mr. Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Jacksonville, Florida. With deliveries 365-days a year, 7-days a week and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores and retail outlets.Responsibilities:Responsible for cleaning buildings, removing debris, and keeping areas neat. Vacuums and buffs floors, shampoos carpet, empties trash receptacles and replaces the lining of trash cans.Requirements:Sweep and mop floors from all office areas, restrooms, breakrooms and common areas such as hallways.Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces, to include our warehouse areas such as charging stations, coolers, repack room and any other cooler that needs assistance/cleaning.Clean the front of the building by picking up cigarette buds and trash around main doors.Clean and disinfect all restrooms through the facility, to include the use of chemicals such as bleach and fabuloso.Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces from areas such as microwaves, refrigerators, countertops and lockers.Mix various cleaning agents with approval from Sanitation Supervisor.Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.Dust furniture and scrub surface clean from office and warehouse areas including desks.Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants.Move heavy equipment and furniture, per business needs.Refill soap and hand towels in the bathrooms and general areas such as main lobby and hallways.Report potential issues to management.Ability to be on their feet for long hours and work in confined spaces.Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 33F to 80F degrees.Usage of floor machinery equipment to include floor scrubber in the warehouse.Clean garbage bins daily to include both office and warehouse bins.Pressure Cleaning of the warehouse and front building.Follows all GMP policies and procedures while in the warehouse.Physical Demands/ Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
