Grand Rapids Community College seeks a dedicated custodian to maintain campus facilities, open and secure buildings, monitor alarm systems, and support operations across college buildings.
The 40-hour weekly night shift (Mon-Fri, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM) offers hands-on cleaning, snow removal, and facility maintenance with on-the-job training available. Reports to Building Manager; GRCC provides full-time benefits and growth opportunities.

The custodian's position is primarily to provide support at various college buildings as directed by the facilities operations building manager. The position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of facilities; the surrounding external adjacent area; performing minor maintenance; and snow removal from walkways. A major aspect besides cleaning of the facility is to ensure it is open and then secured at the end of day. Additionally, the individual must be cognizant of the fire alarm and security systems.
