Department Summary

The University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletic Department's primary purpose is to provide a unique opportunity for student-athletes to be developed, tested, and encouraged to reach their maximum potential in every aspect of their lives. The department has approximately 280 administrative & classified employees and hosts over 600,000 spectators annually and represents the University of Oregon in athletic competition with other universities & colleges.

Position Summary

This position will work at the Hatfield Dowlin Complex, a 160,000 square foot facility dedicated to the University of Oregon football program, located on Martin Luther King Blvd. in Eugene, Oregon. The role requires a flexible schedule based on football operations activities and events, including nights, weekends, and some holidays. The mission is to ensure timely maintenance, repair, improvement, renovation, cleaning, and upkeep of buildings, systems, utilities, and equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• One year of work experience providing a service-type function (customer service, custodial service, etc.) in a reliable and consistent manner
• One year of custodial experience in office or athletic settings

• Basic knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Basic skills with the use of email
• Ability to perform duties that support the department and university mission
• Effective teamwork and relationship-building skills
• Initiative and attention to detail
• Commitment to a safe, respectful, and ethical workplace
• Good communication skills, including using a 2-way radio
• Superior customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment and chemicals, obtained through training or experience
• Experience in an athletic facility setting
