Job summary

HHS seeks dedicated cleaning staff for Dallas College - Central - EDUC campus in Dallas. Pay is $15 per hour with both full-time and part-time positions and day, evening, and night shifts available.

Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas; following established procedures; ensuring a friendly service mindset; and assisting the team to keep the campus safe and presentable.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Maintain good personal hygiene and wear a uniform.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas of the university campus, including classrooms, common areas, restrooms, cafeterias, and more
• Follow all HHS cleaning procedures and best practices
• Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals on campus
• Perform cleaning, buffing, and bonneting procedures to maintain floors
• Perform floor stripping and extraction projects as assigned
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
• Preferred: Custodial experience ( cleaning, housekeeping, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician )

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift
• Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
• Must handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
