Job summary

The University of Vermont is seeking a Custodian to join the Facilities Management team in Burlington, VT. You will perform a variety of custodial cleaning tasks in a team setting to support campus buildings, including floors, water fountains, waste bins, and windows.

The role requires on-call responsiveness for after-hours emergencies and may involve operating a University vehicle. We value diversity, sustainability, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Elementary school education required.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one and driver’s check may be required.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. occasionally required, specific physical requirements may apply based on specific job functions.
• Initial employment contingent upon successful completion of physical screening and background check.

• Competency in conversational English highly desirable.
