Responsibilities

Performs custodial duties ensuring assigned areas meet cleanliness standards.

• Clean assigned classrooms/offices to include vacuuming, mopping, wiping down furniture/desks, cleaning windows, doors, door jams, and door handles. Empties wastebaskets, removing garbage, bags, and contaminated waste and materials. Make simple repairs and report major repair problems. Lock and secure assigned area when finished.
• Sweeps doorways, clean mats, enterances and inner hallways. Cleans exterior corridors and removes any garbage or discarded items to the proper receptacles. Cleans elevators, wiping down walls and sweeping and mopping floor. Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms. Replaces and restocks bathroom supplies.
• Executes set-up and cleaning needs for all campus events including extra-curricular activities. Cleans carpets and rugs using appropriate cleaning equipment. Strips, waxes, and buffs non-carpeted floors using appropriate equipment. Supports special custodial projects as assigned, including seasonal exterior needs.
• Supports quality control protocols for cleaning standards. Assists Custodial Supervisor and Asst. Director for Facilities as necessary with team and individual training or mentoring as appropriate.
• Assists all FSUS personnel with moving furniture and supplies throughout campus. Delivers goods to campus personnel as needed. Supports safety and security protocols of K-12 campus environment.
