Job summary

The University of North Florida Alumni Association is seeking a Custodian to perform housekeeping duties including cleaning restrooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas in accordance with campus standards. Work hours are Sunday through Friday from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with a focus on maintaining clean facilities for students and staff.

Required qualifications include completion of ninth grade or equivalent per Florida statutes, and the position may require a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Completion of ninth (9th) grade or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain restrooms, classrooms, offices, kitchens, conference rooms, banquet rooms, large assembly rooms, auditoriums, halls, common areas, stairways, elevators, building entrance areas, windows, doors and display cases.
• Perform additional floor cleaning and maintenance duties.
• This position is designated as a Tier 2 respondent for designated campus emergencies and events. In the event of a declared campus emergency, the position incumbent will make every effort to return to campus when directed.
• Supplementary responsibilities including special set-up requests, graduations, provides manpower during events, cleans up after events, work orders, receives and delivers supplies, assists other departments as needed, picks up materials from vendors.

• Perform additional floor cleaning and maintenance duties.

Completion of ninth (9th) grade or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Some positions may require possession of a classified driver’s license appropriate to a type of vehicle operated.
