The University of North Florida Alumni Association is seeking a Grounds Maintenance worker to perform mowing, weed control, planting, and irrigation support on campus. The role includes care of turf, plant beds, and assisting with irrigation tasks under supervision.

You will help with landscape installation, equipment upkeep, and support for events and special projects, contributing to a well-kept campus environment.

General Description / Primary Purpose:

This is work performing grounds maintenance and landscape installation duties, including but not restricted to maintenance of turf, landscape, and irrigation; litter control; and set up for special events. Specific duties will be determined by the supervisor.

• Special projects/events

This position is designated as a Tier 2 respondent for designated campus emergencies and events. In the event of a declared campus emergency, the position incumbent will make every effort to return to campus when directed.

Supervision Received:

Close supervision. The incumbent's work is reviewed by the supervisor for accuracy and to ensure instructions are being followed.

Required Qualifications

Completion of ninth (9th) grade or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Some positions may require possession of a classified driver's license appropriate to a type of vehicle operated.
