Job summary

The University of North Florida Board of Trustees is seeking a Custodial Services worker to maintain classrooms, offices and common areas in accordance with APPA standards. Duties include cleaning, restrooms, floors, and facility surfaces with attention to detail.

The role supports campus events, performs setup and cleanup, and adheres to safety and credit/background checks as required. Schedule: Sunday through Friday, 10 PM to 6:30 AM, on-site at UNF.

Qualifications

• Completion of ninth (9th) grade required and 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
• Some positions may require possession of a classified driver’s license appropriate to a type of vehicle operated.

Responsibilities

• Clean restrooms, classrooms, offices, and common-use areas per APPA standards.
• Perform floor cleaning and maintenance; clean windows, doors and display cases.
• Support events with setup, staffing, and cleanup; manage supplies.

Job description

Department Physical Facilities, Custodial Services Compensation $16.64 Hourly General Description / Primary Purpose: This is work performing housekeeping duties including cleaning restrooms, classrooms, offices, common-use areas, and carpet and tile floors in accordance with the APPA cleaning standards.

Job Function: Leadership Cleans and maintains classrooms, offices, kitchens, conferences rooms, common areas, stairways and building entrance areas. Cleans windows, doors, and display cases. Performs additional floor cleaning and maintenance duties. This position is designated as a Tier 2 respondent for designated campus emergencies and events. In the event of a declared campus emergency, the position incumbent will make every effort to return to campus when directed.
