Job summary

Texas State Technical College (TSTC) is seeking a Custodial Worker to maintain cleanliness and safety across campus facilities. You will perform routine cleaning, operate equipment, and assist in building access while upholding our standards.

• Cleaning Procedures: Understanding of various cleaning methods, materials, and equipment used for maintaining cleanliness in different environments.
• Sanitation: Knowledge of proper sanitation practices to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Waste Disposal: Familiarity with proper waste disposal methods, including recycling and handling hazardous waste.
• Building Access: Enter occupied and unoccupied buildings with appropriate accompaniment.
• Equipment Management: Check out tools, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Vehicle Operation: Operate state vehicles and equipment safely.
• Communication and Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments to address facility needs while providing regular updates to their supervisor.
• Physical Exertion: Perform physically demanding tasks requiring strength and frequent moderate lifting (30-60 lbs), often in awkward positions.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety requirements, use protective equipment, and manage exposure to moderate hazards such as dust, grease, noise, and temperature extremes.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Description

The Custodial Worker responsibility is to ensure the cleanliness and routine maintenance of our facilities. This position ensures that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness while creating a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Hiring Range is $16.00 to $17.24 USD Hourly.

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
