Job summary

The Ohio History Center in Columbus, OH is seeking a Custodial Technician to join our facilities team. You will perform daily custodial duties across the Ohio History Center, Ohio Village, and related sites, maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming spaces for visitors and staff.

This full-time role requires a High School Diploma and 1–3 years of experience, ability to operate custodial equipment, and a commitment to chemical safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication with staff and the public.
• Familiarity with custodial equipment and chemical safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily custodial tasks for the Ohio History Center and related facilities.
• Sweep, mop, wax floors, vacuum carpets, and clean surfaces.
• Wash walls, windows, dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Empty trash/recycling and sanitize restrooms.
• Set up and tear down for events as requested.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
