Job summary

The Research Foundation for SUNY in Albany, NY is seeking a Custodial Technician to uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety across office and cleanroom environments, including floors, waste management, and routine upkeep. You will vacuum and mop floors, empty trash, clean and disinfect restrooms, restock consumables in gowning rooms and PPE areas, and support daily operations.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and at least one year of commercial cleaning experience,

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of commercial cleaning experience.
• Basic mechanical ability (e.g., using screwdriver, wrench) and ability to write basic communication messages.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum and mop all floor surfaces inside the cleanroom.
• Empty refuse containers inside office suites and cleanrooms.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms including toilets, urinals, sinks and floors.
• Restock consumables inside cleanroom gowning rooms, PPE cabinets and janitorial closets.
• Other reasonable duties as assigned.

Job Description:

The Custodial Technician will deliverhigh standards of cleanliness and safety across office and cleanroom environments by maintaining floors, managing waste, sanitizing restrooms, restocking essential supplies, and supporting daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Vacuum and mop all types of floor surfaces inside and outside the cleanroom.
• Empty refuse containers inside office suites and cleanrooms.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms to include toilets, urinals, sinks and floors.
• Restocking of consumables inside cleanroom gowning rooms, PPE cabinets and janitorial closets.
• Other reasonable duties as assigned.

Requirements:

This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.
