Summary

The Workforce Group, a LEMOINE company, is currently seeking reliable, detail-oriented individuals to serve as Custodians in support of our Emergency Response Logistics Support Reservists Cadre Team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, and safe working and lodging environments for linemen and field staff deployed to assist in disaster recovery operations. Custodians play a vital part in supporting response operations by ensuring hygiene standards are upheld in temporary facilities and housing arrangements.

These are seasonal positions and, if activated, will likely require travel on short notice, generally lasting from several days to a few weeks and possibly 30 days or more, depending on the disaster response needs. Ideal candidates for these missions will be available to deploy within 24 to 72 hours of notification.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform general cleaning duties in lodging areas, restrooms, common spaces, and field operation centers.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces to maintain sanitation and safety standards.
  • Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Dispose of trash and maintain proper waste handling procedures.
  • Identify and report maintenance or safety issues to supervisors.
  • Set up or reset common areas and sleeping quarters as directed.
  • Assist with unloading and organizing cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with field operations, logistics, and hotel staff to ensure work is completed efficiently.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or facility maintenance experience is preferred.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic, high-demand, and fast-paced environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays during deployments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile communication tools is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment use is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
