Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a custodial supervisor to delegate and monitor custodial staff, train personnel, and ensure public areas are cleaned to standards. You will lead staff in hallways, lobbies, stairways, locker rooms, and other areas, overseeing safety and quality during shifts.

The role requires strong customer service skills, familiarity with cleaning chemicals, and the ability to manage schedules and equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six (6) months of experience in a similar position preferred.
• Must be able to operate vacuum cleaners, carpet shampooers, floor scrubbers.
• Must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift.
• Other physical requirements include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, kneeling, crouching.
• Must be knowledgeable about cleaning chemicals used by the department.
• May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including noise and second-hand smoke.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

• Prepare and distribute assignments and make adjustments during each shift according to business needs.
• Inspect and approve cleaning of designated areas.
• Handle personnel-related matters including hiring, training, scheduling, and monitoring.
• Check all cleaning aids and equipment; ensure proper working order and safety compliance.
• Complete work orders for maintenance repairs; follow up to ensure completion.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas; remove trash and debris.
• Responsible for property clean up including bio-chemical material.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

Responsible for delegating and monitoring the execution of custodial staff’s work assignments. Responsible for supervising and training staff and for ensuring all public areas are cleaned and maintained in accordance with company and departmental standards. Clean and maintain public areas e.g. hallways, lobbies, stairways, locker rooms etc.
