Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a diligent janitor to perform a variety of cleaning tasks in assigned buildings and facilities. You will sanitize bathrooms, wipe high surfaces, empty trash, dust and vacuum floors, and maintain public areas to a high standard.

The role requires following written and verbal instructions, operating janitorial equipment, and adhering to safety data sheets for cleaning chemicals. Regular grounds care and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic operations of janitorial work.
• Knowledge of basic methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work.
• Knowledge of basic safe work practices.
• Knowledge of using toxic and non-toxic cleaning chemicals per MSDS.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of cleaning activities in assigned buildings/facilities to keep them clean, sanitary and orderly.
• Dust surfaces high and low, sanitize surfaces below shoulder height, and spot clean windows and doorknobs.
• Clean bathrooms with germicidal solution and restock supplies daily.
• Empty trash and replace liners; dust mop and vacuum floors; clean floors using appropriate methods.
• Care for grounds and public common areas, including sidewalks, planters, glass surfaces, and furniture.
