Job summary

The University of Virginia's Facilities Management is seeking a Custodial Services Supervisor to oversee a team of 10–15 staff across Academic and Health System areas in Charlottesville, VA.

This non-exempt, on-site role requires strong supervisory, scheduling, and training skills, with safety inspections and performance feedback. Shift is 9:00am–5:30pm, and a $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered to new hires. Applicants must have a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of custodial experience recommended.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement custodial work schedules for assigned areas.
• Supervise custodial team and provide feedback.
• Ensure tasks are completed in a timely, professional manner and track inventories.
• Conduct routine safety inspections.
• Work independently and proactively manage workload.
