Job summary

Boyd Gaming is seeking a Supervisor for Environmental Services (EVS) to oversee the daily operation and staffing of public areas across our casino and hotel. You will manage schedules, train staff, and ensure adherence to cleaning standards and safety policies.

Responsibilities include coordinating supplies, maintenance with Engineering, supervising payroll within budget, and ensuring OSHA compliance. The role requires strong communication and flexibility in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a large cleaning operation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility with regard to schedule.
  • Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.
  • Must qualify for and maintain licensure as required by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
  • Knowledge of the approved Responsible Gaming Program.

  • Monitors the performance of staff and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Issues supplies and equipment as required.
  • Arranges for repair of cleaning equipment.
  • Maintains and updates the cleaning supplies inventory.
  • Submits requisitions for cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Coordinates activities of outside vendors providing services and or equipment for the complex.
  • May perform duties of supervisors and staff as required.
  • Responsible for the daily operation of the EVS department.
  • Monitors and controls all costs associated with the department in accordance with the budget.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of all public areas, including the casino, hotel lobby, corridors, and public restrooms, in accordance with established corporate and company standards.
  • Ensures staff adherence to established cleaning schedules and projects.
  • Controls and maintains all department equipment.
  • Manages the preventative maintenance program for public areas.
  • Coordinates with Engineering to communicate and resolve all maintenance issues.
  • Maintains OSHA compliance standards.
  • Maintains superior guest relations and resolves any issues within areas of responsibility.
  • Achieves established guest service goals.
  • Ensures department compliance with all established company policies and procedures.
  • Manages scheduling and payroll in accordance with budget and business volumes for the department.
  • Performs all related duties as directed by management.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory controls and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
