Job summary

Strategic Government Resources, Inc. is seeking a Custodial Operations Supervisor to oversee custodial and facility maintenance activities for the City of Irving. You will supervise staff, plan work, and ensure safety and compliance across daily operations.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2 years in custodial/maintenance, and at least 1 year in a lead role. Must pass background checks and hold a valid driver’s license; ability to lift 50 lbs and work after hours is required.

Qualifications

Job description

Duties include supervising and coordinating custodial operations and facility maintenance activities; planning, scheduling, assigning and inspecting work; overseeing staff performance, training and safety; coordinating equipment maintenance and repairs; maintaining records of labor, materials and equipment usage; purchasing supplies and maintaining inventory; and responding to service requests, complaints and emergency conditions. Responsibilities also include ensuring proper use and maintenance of equipment, vehicles and tools; preparing reports; and performing related duties as assigned. Must have knowledge of custodial operations, facility maintenance practices, equipment operation and employee supervision. A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of applicable custodial and maintenance experience demonstrating a broad range of repair capabilities, including at least one year of lead experience and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and related software is required. Possession of an appropriate, valid state-issued drivers license or the ability to obtain one upon hire also required. Must be able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, and work in varying environmental conditions. Must be available to respond to after-hours emergency callbacks. Candidates will be subject to a criminal history check. Must not have any criminal conviction above the grade of a Class B misdemeanor or any Class B misdemeanor within the past 10 years; other convictions may also be considered.

PAY GRADE GG20 / FULL PAY RANGE $29.47 - $41.52 PER HOUR ($61,308 - $86,376 ANNUALLY)
