Job summary

Irving ISD is seeking a Custodian Coordinator to supervise custodial staff, oversee building cleanliness, and coordinate with facilities leadership to maintain safe, efficient school environments in Irving, Texas.

Responsibilities include scheduling, reporting, and training staff; ensuring compliance with safety procedures and district policies while using maintenance equipment across campuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid class C Texas driver’s license and proof of insurability with District insurance carrier.
• Strong reading and comprehension of cleaning, maintenance and safety procedures.
• Excellent organizational, communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supervising custodial staff in an educational setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise custodial staff and ensure facilities are clean, safe, and properly maintained.
• Coordinate with principals and supervisors to maintain high standards of safety and efficiency.
• Complete administrative tasks, reports, and records as assigned.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning equipment and supplies across campuses.
• Provide routine maintenance and coordinate repairs through the facilities workflow system.
• Schedule and supervise custodial work and ensure timely completion of tasks.
