Job summary

IAP World Services, an Intrepid Global Solutions company, is seeking a Custodial Manager to plan, direct, and oversee custodial operations in secure Intelligence Community facilities in Virginia and Maryland. You will lead custodial supervisors, manage resources, and ensure clean, safe, and mission-ready conditions while complying with strict security requirements.

Responsibilities include scheduling, policy development, inspections, supply management, and liaison with government stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent; degrees preferred.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. Government security clearance.
  • Minimum of 6 years custodial or facilities management experience.
  • Experience leading teams in regulated or secure environments.
  • Knowledge of custodial practices, equipment, chemicals, and safety standards.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Develop, implement, and enforce custodial policies and quality standards in compliance with IC security protocols.

  • Coordinate custodial support for events, high-visibility areas, and continuity-of-operations activities.
  • Conduct inspections and audits for cleanliness, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage custodial supply procurement, inventory control, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure proper handling of waste, recycling, and secure destruction per information protection requirements.
  • Serve as primary contact for government stakeholders and facility management regarding custodial services.
  • Identify and mitigate safety hazards; ensure OSHA and environmental health standards.
  • Report security concerns or incidents; support budget planning and resource optimization.

Job description

IAP World Services, an Intrepid Global Solutions company, is a recognized leader in Facilities Management and Operations in support of Defense, Intelligence, and National Security missions Under a major Intelligence Community contract, IAP operates and maintains facilities, systems, and associated grounds across Virginia and Maryland. Services provided include comprehensive facility operations; project management for renovations, minor construction, and major equipment repairs; engineering, construction, and operations support; custodial and grounds maintenance services; environmental, safety, and occupational health support; food services; motorpool and logistics operations; and physical and technical security services. As the Custodial Manager, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all custodial operations within a secure Intelligence Community facility. This role ensures facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, and mission-ready condition while complying with stringent security, safety, and confidentiality requirements. The Custodial Manager provides leadership to custodial supervisors and staff, manages resources, and serves as the primary liaison for custodial services in a controlled-access environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Manage all custodial operations across assigned secure facilities, including scheduling, staffing, and performance oversight

  • Develop, implement, and enforce custodial policies, procedures, and quality standards in compliance with IC security protocols
  • Supervise custodial leads and staff; conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective actions as needed
  • Coordinate custodial support for special events, high-visibility areas, and emergency or continuity-of-operations activities
  • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and regulatory compliance
  • Manage custodial supply procurement, inventory control, and equipment maintenance
  • Ensure proper handling of waste, recycling, and secure destruction (e.g., shredding) in accordance with information protection requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government stakeholders and facility management regarding custodial services
  • Identify and mitigate safety hazards; ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental health standards
  • Report and escalated security concerns, incidents, or suspicious activity immediately
  • Support budget planning, cost control, and resource optimization initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to custodial operations
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • * High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
  • Minimum of [6] years of custodial or facilities management experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams in a regulated or secure environment
