Job Description

The 2nd Shift Custodial Manager will lead custodial operations and supervise, train and direct the custodial associates. Reports to and supports the Custodial Manager Senior or Facility Director in achieving objectives and client expectations.

This role is located in the downtown Chicago area.

Compensation Data

The salary range for this position is from $55,000 to $60,000, depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

If hired, the employee will be in an 'at-will position' and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Coordinates custodial and housekeeping operations
  2. Maintains communication with and responds to the requests of department managers and directors, and other client partners
  3. Tours and inspects the facility to ensure total quality management requirements in custodial and housekeeping operations
  4. Reviews job orders and specifications to understand the material and labor required to complete the project and coordinates the activities of custodial employees to efficiently utilize staff, materials, and equipment
  5. Maintains compliance with Aramark's and client’s standards of operation, Aramark's Business Conduct Policy, and all federal, state, and local regulations. Maintains all records and reports as required by regulations and codes
  6. Understands departmental expenses such as supply needs and labor costs to maintain budget conditions

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in custodial management
  2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  3. Must read, write, and understand the native language, communicate (both verbal and written) effectively, and apply discretion and comprehensive understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
  4. Requires knowledge of machinery related to custodial operations
  5. Requires listening, interpersonal, computer, and leadership skills
  6. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics and apply elementary math functions
  7. Ability to work well under time constraints
  8. Must maintain a friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers
  9. Is adaptable to customer needs

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
