Job summary

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is recruiting for a Custodial Worker 2 in the Facilities Department. This lead position performs general cleaning, floor shampooing and buffing, building upkeep, garbage removal, and may assist with snow removal.

The role is Essential Personnel and may require hours beyond the regular schedule during emergencies or events. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of custodial/janitorial experience; or six months of general

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent education.
• 1 year custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial, industrial, hospital, governmental or similar environment; OR
• Six (6) months of general work experience and one (1) year of custodial or janitorial experience; OR
• Six (6) months of experience as a Custodial Worker I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties, building cleaning, emptying garbage, shampooing and buffing floors.
• Some snow removal may be required.
• Lead position, essential personnel status, and potential after-hours work for emergencies or events.
