Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodial Lead in Grand Prairie, TX to oversee cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas while guiding custodial staff. You will perform janitorial duties, operate cleaning equipment, supervise staff, and help schedule and train the team.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and knowledge of cleaning methods and chemicals. Evening shifts from 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM and a pay rate of $18–$19 per hour are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, and manuals.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals; safe handling practices.
• Experience with supervising or directing custodial staff is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties and follow the daily schedule.
• Provide work direction to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor.
• Assist in scheduling and training staff as needed.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair.
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Track supply inventory and assist in purchasing supplies and equipment.
• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections.
• Report incidents, hazards, and personnel issues to supervisor.
• Monitor PPE use and correct at-risk behavior.

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Track and maintain supply inventory
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment

Education and/ or Experience:

High school diploma / GED required. At least 1-year related experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

CPR/AED/First Aid certification . A valid driver's license may be required for this position based on business needs. Employees required to drive as part of their job duties must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and meet company driving eligibility requirements. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team

Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment

Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
