Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodial Lead in Tempe, AZ to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of designated areas while guiding custodial staff. The role requires supervising, training, scheduling, and operating cleaning equipment to maintain high standards.

You will monitor safety, inventory, and supplies, perform inspections, and report incidents to the Custodial Supervisor. Sunday to Thursday, 8pm–4:30am, $18–$19 per hour, benefits available.

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience as listed above to perform duties safely.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and procedures.
• Strong communication skills for team supervision and reporting.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties and daily tasks per schedule.
• Provide work direction to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor.
• Assist scheduling and training of staff as needed.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment and track maintenance.
• Inspect quality, safety, and service; report incidents and hazards.

Roles & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Track and maintain supply inventory
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment
• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections

• Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor

Education and/ or Experience: High school diploma / GED required. At least 1-year related experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CPR/AED/First Aid certification . May be required to have a valid driver's license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
