Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodial Lead in Durham, NC to oversee cleanliness and sanitation of designated areas and provide supervision to custodial staff.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training, operating cleaning equipment, inventory/maintenance tracking, and ensuring safety standards are met. Compensation is $17.00–$18.00 per hour for Monday–Friday, 4:00pm–12:30am, with standard SBM benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team.
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor.
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair.
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair

Education and/ or Experience:

High school diploma / GED required. At least 1-year related experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

CPR/AED/First Aid certification . May be required to have a valid driver's license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified
