Job summary

SBM is looking for a Custodial Lead in the United States (Alton, IL area) to manage cleaning operations and provide direction to custodial staff. The role supports the Custodial Supervisor with scheduling and training while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year custodial experience, CPR/First Aid, and possibly forklift certification. Compensation is $16.00–$17.00 per hour, with a Monday–Friday 10am–6pm shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year related custodial experience.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
• A valid driver's license may be required for this position based on business needs.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Safety and task training certifications completed.
• MVR driving eligibility satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties and follow the daily schedule.
• Provide work direction to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment and track inventory.
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling, training, and inspections.
• Report incidents, hazards, and PPE compliance to supervisor.

# **Title:**Custodial Lead# **Job Description:****Job Overview**The Custodial Lead will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the areas assigned and provides some work direction to custodial staff.**Roles & Responsibilities**To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.* Perform janitorial duties* Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule* Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor* Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed* Operate motorized cleaning equipment* Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair* Schedule clean up and repairs as needed* Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area* Track and maintain supply inventory* Assist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment* Perform quality, service, and safety inspections* Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor* Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor* Monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and supplies* Correct at risk behavior and report to the supervisor immediately* The ability to drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities may be necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.* Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement**Qualification**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
