Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodial Lead to oversee cleaning operations and provide direction to custodial staff. The role requires coordination of daily tasks, safety compliance, and effective communication with the team and supervisor.

You will operate cleaning equipment, monitor supplies and inventory, and assist with scheduling and training. The position supports site facilities across multiple locations in Michigan and requires driving to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year related custodial experience preferred.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
• Valid driver’s license may be required; ensure acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties according to daily schedule.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Provide work direction to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor.
• Assist with scheduling and training of staff.
• Maintain supplies and track inventory; assist in purchasing as needed.
• Report incidents, hazards, and PPE usage.
• Drive to various locations as needed for work.

# **Title:**Custodial Lead,# **Job Description:****Job Overview**The Custodial Lead will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the areas assigned and provides some work direction to custodial staff. **Roles & Responsibilities**To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.* Perform janitorial duties* Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule* Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor* Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed* Operate motorized cleaning equipment* Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair* Schedule clean up and repairs as needed* Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area* Track and maintain supply inventory* Assist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment* Perform quality, service, and safety inspections* Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor* Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor* Monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and supplies* Correct at risk behavior and report to the supervisor immediately* The ability to drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities may be necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.* Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement **Qualification**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
