Job summary

Greencroft Communities in Goshen, Indiana is seeking a Floor Care Specialist to support our Healthcare campus through routine floor maintenance, carpet care, and special cleaning projects.

You will perform dust mopping, scrubbing, bonneting and refinishing floors, carpet care, vacuuming, and safety-focused cleaning tasks while coordinating with other departments and reporting maintenance needs. A commitment to a clean, safe environment is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous floor care or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Experience operating floor cleaning equipment is helpful.
• Willingness to learn and work independently.
• Ability to follow written instructions and cleaning schedules.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Dust mopping, damp mopping, scrubbing, stripping, buffing, and refinishing floors.
• Carpet care including spotting, bonneting, shampooing, extracting, and restorative cleaning.
• Vacuuming hallways and common areas per schedules.
• Coordinating floor care procedures with other departments as needed.
• Observing and reporting maintenance or repair needs throughout the campus.
• Operating floor cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Following safety procedures and properly handling cleaning chemicals.

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive movement throughout the shift. Candidates should be comfortable performing physical work in a healthcare environment and safely operating cleaning equipment and chemicals.
