Job summary

Aramark in Michigan seeks a Custodial Manager to oversee daily custodial operations across multiple school facilities. You will lead custodial staff, develop cleaning programs, manage staffing and budgets, and ensure safety and cleanliness for students and staff.

You will supervise and coach staff, implement quality standards, and collaborate with district leadership to support events and activities while maintaining high customer satisfaction and compliance with OSHA and district policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3–5 years custodial, facilities, or environmental services experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Knowledge of custodial equipment, cleaning practices, floor care techniques, and sanitation procedures.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and work order management systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between district facilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee custodial operations across multiple school district facilities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor cleaning schedules, preventative maintenance programs, and QA standards.
• Conduct routine facility inspections for cleanliness and safety.
• Respond to facility concerns and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate emergency responses for weather events and sanitation needs.
• Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate custodial staff.
• Foster a customer-focused work environment centered on service excellence.
• Provide coaching and professional development for staff.
• Manage labor allocation and staffing to meet budget needs.
• Ensure compliance with district policies and employment regulations.
