Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a Lead Teacher to support the program director in hiring, training and supervising LifeWise teachers. This role ensures consistency in curriculum, procedures and the LifeWise mission for all classrooms.

Responsibilities include planning yearly lessons, organizing teacher trainings, observing classrooms and maintaining records, schedules, and communications with volunteers and families. Part-time, non-exempt position in Georgia.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in a school or church setting
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the What We Believe section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Plan Curriculum: Determine which LifeWise lessons will be taught during each school year
• Train and Observe Teachers: Organize a teacher training day, lead regular meetings, assist in observing teachers
• Create and Maintain Records: Create classroom schedules, maintain rosters and health notes, assist in policies
• Communicate: Visit classes, build relationships with volunteers, provide updates to the program director
• Other Duties: Assist the program director in other responsibilities as needed
