Job summary

Sunny Day Child Care & Preschool, Inc. in Rural Wisconsin seeks an experienced Teacher to develop a cohesive teaching team and coordinate daily operations.

You will tailor activities to support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development while communicating effectively with children, parents, and staff. The role requires strong leadership, background in early childhood education, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well with staff, children and parents.
• Understanding of child development.
• CPR certification for infant/child emergencies.
• Must pass full background check and health screening.
• Associate's Degree in early childhood education or related field preferred with at least 30 ECE credits.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement curriculum with developmentally appropriate practices and standards.
• Lead by example; coach teaching team for success.
• Plan age-appropriate activities to promote social, cognitive and emotional growth.
• Maintain regular communication with parents through conversations and conferences.
• Ensure center policies and state regulations are met.
• Maintain a healthy, safe and clean classroom environment.
• Supervise teaching assistants and volunteers to follow activities and safety standards.
• Keep accurate records and files.
• Pursue ongoing professional development for quality improvement.
