Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is seeking a district-level Curriculum and Instruction Specialist to provide curriculum and instructional support for teachers and school leaders under the direction of Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development. This role advances district initiatives and coordinates curriculum training and implementation to strengthen teacher knowledge and instructional skills.

The position links teachers and instructional staff with resources and support to achieve

Qualifications

• Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate.
• Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.
• Proven outstanding classroom teaching performance.
• Experience analyzing student achievement data and applying it to instruction.
• Experience with district adoptions and initiatives.
• Experience working with adult learners.
• Knowledge of professional development and coaching teachers.

Responsibilities

• Provide curriculum and instructional support for teachers and school leaders under the direction of Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development.
• Support district initiatives, instructional goals, curriculum training and implementation, and teacher development of professional knowledge.
• Oversee the district’s curriculum and instruction and connect staff with resources and support to help students achieve.
