Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is hiring a Community Education Assistant to guide and facilitate program activities with a strong emphasis on safety, positive behavior, and participant engagement.

This role supports daily site operations by implementing age-appropriate programming, maintaining organized and compliant envisionments and communicating effectively with families and school staff to ensure high-quality program delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Six (6) months of childcare experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to supervise 20 or more children.
• Fluency in English with the ability to read/understand written/graphic and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Guide and facilitate program activities with emphasis on safety and positive behavior.
• Support daily site operations and implement age-appropriate programming.
• Communicate effectively with families and school staff to ensure high-quality program delivery.
• Supervise and ensure the safety of all children in their care.
• Engage with children, parents, volunteers, coaches and supervisors to foster positive interactions.
